Financial planning

At SMB Wealth Management financial planning means just that – planning all your financial affairs so they work best for you and your family.

Good financial planning helps you achieve your aspirations and objectives for the future. But, as time passes, circumstances change and your financial plans will need to be reviewed, to make sure they still meet your requirements.

At SMB Wealth Management we recognise that changes in your personal circumstances can occur at any time: these will be caused by birth or death, marriage or divorce, promotion or redundancy, and so on. There will also be changes in legislation and in investment markets, which can materially affect what you want your investments to achieve. So we recommend that you review all your financial arrangements on a regular basis to make sure that your pensions, savings and investments are still in tune with your original (and changing) plans. You may feel that an annual review is appropriate, but it's likely that we'd be in touch with you more often than that, just to tell you about new developments and to discuss whether your plans are still on course.

As part of a sensible financial planning strategy, we may also encourage you to consider how you begin the process of passing some of your wealth to your family in a tax efficient manner.

And we won't forget the basics, so we'll check whether your life and health insurances are adequate.
